If the payment of the salary must take place periodically and by a specific method of payment, no payment date is however imposed on the employer (article L.3242-1). The latter can thus pay the employee at the end of the month or during the following month… but please note that once the date has been established, it is better to respect this deadline in order to avoid problems with the judges…. This is confirmed by this decision, which is unprecedented and isolated, but that has been rendered by the highest court (cass. soc., July 6, 2022, 20-21.690), and which is likely to be a milestone
